Registration packets are available in the main office, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or by clicking one of the links below.
Kindergarten packets for the next school year will be available after April 1, 2026
The following documents will be needed to complete all student enrollment:
- Proof of Birth: Government-issued/State Certified Copy of the Birth Certificate
- Immunization Records: The student’s Tennessee Department of Health Immunization Certificate (shot record signed by the child’s physician or county health department with complete K-6th grade). Visit the Knox County Schools Immunization page for more details.
- Recent Physical Examination: Proof of a physical exam dated within 30 days of enrollment start date.
- Proof of Residence: One of the following—gas, water, or electric bill or lease/rental/mortgage agreement. If the utility bill and/or lease agreement is in the name of someone other than the parent/guardian, that individual must provide the utility bill and/or lease agreement, along with a notarized letter confirming that the parent/guardian and children reside at the address.
Kindergarten: Children must be five (5) years old by August 15 of the year they will start kindergarten. For the 2025-26 school year, children must be five by August 15, 2025.
Children may enroll in first grade if they:
- Attended an approved kindergarten program the previous year, and
-
Are six (6) years old on or before September 30 of the current school year.
Note: A child cannot enroll in first grade without having attended an approved kindergarten program.
